ap16 assisted Leicester City Council in the integration of over 50 financial feeder systems into their implementation of Agresso Business World.
The Requirement
Leicester City Council is the unitary authority serving the citizens, communities and businesses of Leicester, the biggest city in the East Midlands.
With over 15, 000 staff, they are responsible for delivering a huge range of services to a diverse range of customers across Leicester.
One of their core tasks is to manage financial data, and to do this they were using a number of systems working independently.
They could see the potential business benefits that integrating these independent systems could bring, and so, wished to integrate them. They required a partner for advice and then implementation, and so chose ap16!
Our Approach
Within the first phase of the project, ap16 provided a consultancy and advisory role, discussing the best methods for integration. Then it was decided that ap16 would implement the changes needed, and support our client’s in-house IT team.
Our Solution
BizTalk was selected as the right choice for the integration gateway due to the client's recent investment in Microsoft Server infrastructure.
During the second phase of the project, ap16 developed a range of interfaces between the feeder systems and Agresso, as well as support and training to our client’s in-house team.
The Results
Leicester City Council was able to automate the integration of over 50 financial feeder systems into their new implementation of Agresso Business World, with the security and peace of mind provided by BizTalk Server as the integration and messaging server.
